Job Overview
This Financial Advisor will be responsible for and serve as a point of contact for their assigned client relationships, working in a team environment as a Lead Advisor with one group of clients and as a Servicing Advisor for another group of clients. This position demonstrates a broad base of knowledge across all functions of financial planning, including cash flows, investments, insurance, tax management, retirement analysis and estate planning. This Financial Advisor is responsible for supporting and managing client relationships from our office in Hunt Valley, MD.

Essential Functions

  1. Contact and meet with assigned clients as part of a systematic process to discuss goals and changes in life circumstances and use findings to drive financial and investment recommendations
  2. Develop client relationships independently and as part of a team
  3. Become a primary contact for clients’ financial questions, operational requests and trading
  4. Review client investments to ensure proper allocation and implement re-balancing strategies as needed
  5. Handle para-planning tasks, client reports, and financial plans for new and existing clients
  6. Advise clients on financial issues other than investments which may include home purchases, mortgages, life insurance, disability insurance, college planning, tax planning, estate planning, retirement...etc.
  7. Contribute in managing existing client portfolios regarding account changes, investment transactions, scheduling, reports, and other account administration
  8. Develop and present client advice appropriate to individual client situations and in line with the firm’s policies and practices
  9. Utilize firm’s various applications to obtain account information and execute service requests
  10. Prepare meeting documents, reports, and other materials
  11. Bring complex problems or concerns to Senior Staff
  12. Work with team to onboard clients of a newly acquired firm
  13. Present 401k plan participant group education sessions
  14. Utilize CRM to maintain business relationships and sales pipeline
  15. Participate in MFG Task Groups or Teams as directed
  16. Attend compliance and continuing education training sessions as required by regulatory agencies and MFG
  17. Comply with company policies, procedures and regulations
  18. Meet compliance standards in all tasks and projects
  19. Perform other related duties

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, and scanners. This is largely a sedentary role and candidate may sit or use PC for long periods of time. Standard hours of work are 40 hours/week – Monday through Friday during normal business day hours.

Required Education and Experience

  1. College Degree required
  2. At least 1 year experience in related field
  3. Industry license or registration preferred
  4. Background check will be required
