Sheryl Parks Named Partner in Marshall Financial Group

We are thrilled to announce that our Director of Financial Planning and Senior Financial Advisor, Sheryl Parks MSF, CFP®, CDFA® is now a partner in the Marshall Financial Group.

Sheryl joined the Marshall Financial Group in 2015 as a Senior Financial Advisor with over 30 years of experience as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional. “When we hired Sheryl in 2015, we were looking for someone who could immediately take a leadership role at MFG as an experienced financial advisor and help with high-level financial planning for our clients,” says our President Pete Marshall. “Sheryl has become an invaluable part of the practice, and I’m excited to have her as a partner.”

As a Senior Financial Advisor and our Director of Financial Planning, Sheryl takes the lead as an investment advisor working with a number of MFG clients and also in the firm’s financial planning process. At MFG, we aim to offer clients an unbiased and personalized approach to money management, based on their goals, investment experience, risk tolerance, and time frame. Sheryl works with our team of advisors to develop the financial planning framework and reviews clients’ plans. As an educator with almost 35 years of experience teaching business, Sheryl is committed to helping clients not just have a financial plan, but also understand the planning process.

In addition to her work advising clients and overseeing the financial planning for the firm, Sheryl also leads our Empowering Women Through Transition initiative. She envisioned this as a way to provide information, knowledge and support to women undergoing a transition in their lives, knowing that women traditionally have had less financial experience and knowledge than men. Empowering Women offers workshops, programs, and meet-ups to help inform and develop knowledge as well as provide an opportunity to connect with other women.

Part of the Empowering Women initiative includes Second Saturday divorce workshops. In these monthly workshops, people in any stage of separation or divorce can explore the financial, legal, and emotional aspects as well as identify resources to assist them as they navigate this potential transition. As a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst®, Sheryl is uniquely qualified to help clients understand the financial impact of separation and divorce.

“As a partner, I am pleased to provide complementary expertise to the other professionals in the firm as we strive to provide exceptional service to our clients,” says Sheryl. “When I speak to any of MFG’s clients, it’s important to me that they feel like they are receiving solid knowledge and expertise from someone they can trust.”

Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. (CFP Board) owns the CFP® certification mark, the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification mark, and the CFP® certification mark (with plaque design) logo in the United States, which it authorizes use of by individuals who successfully complete CFP Board’s initial and ongoing certification requirements.
